# Error! : Unexpected error occurred while sending current status to AE Server

hi Team,

We are facing the following error in Process Studio:  
**Error! :** Unexpected error occurred while sending current status to AE Server

We are using the **Intermediate step** in the workflow, could it be it?

Hi Fernando,

This error occurs mostly if there is a communication issue in the agent and server.

You need to check both the agent and server logs at the same time to find the exact error.
