When does a user enter a dormant state on a server? What is the typical dormancy period, and how can an admin configure it?

A user can enter the **Dormant** state when the account has remained inactive for longer than the **configured dormancy period**

1. An active user account has no sign-in or login activity on the server for a period longer than the configured dormancy limit.
2. When a newly created user (in the **Unverified** state) attempts to log in for the first time, the server performs an automatic dormancy check. If the time elapsed since account creation exceeds the dormancy period, the account bypasses activation and moves to **Disabled**.

The default dormancy period in AutomationEdge is 12 months.

An administrator can set or modify the dormancy threshold across the tenant by following these steps:

1. Sign in to the AutomationEdge UI as a **System Administrator** or **Tenant Administrator**.

2. Navigate to **Settings → Configurations**.

3. Locate the **Dormancy Period (In months or days)** field under the login policy configurations.

4. Enter the desired number of months or days (e.g., `6`, `12`, or `24`).

5. Click **Save** to apply the policy.
