# Purge Duration

Can you explain what is Purge Duration?

Hi Mayur,

Purge Policy determines Purge Duration for each of the table data for Audit Logs, Workflow Requests, Notification History and User Session History. The duration is specified in Months. So if you have specified duration as ‘x’, it will purge the data prior ‘x’ month. So for Eg if you have set purge duration as 2 then it will purge the all data prior to 2 months from the day policy was set.
