# Windows plugin error

Hi!

I get the following Windows Plugin error:

2021-02-17 21:02:29 main ERROR ProcessStudioException:81 - **Error reading object from XML file**  
**com.automationedge.ps.core.exception.ProcessStudioXMLException:**

Unable to load step info from XML step nodecom.automationedge.ps.core.exception.ProcessStudioPluginException:

Unexpected error loading class:

Could not initialize class com.automationedge.ps.workflow.steps.windowsapp.engine.Utils

Hi! Tom,

This issue occurred due to Java version 15, you will have to use java 8 in order to use the Windows application plugin on AE/PS 5.6.0.
