We have routine automation to upload files to Dropbox. It uploads the file with the current timestamp. However, I need to capture the timestamp of file generation in the system.

Yes, by default files are uploaded with the current timestamp but you can specify a custom timestamp in the Client Modified Timestamp (UTC) field (yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ).
