Suppose if I want to separate decimal values like (5.5). this is a height in feet and inches.

so, I want to separate values for some calculations.

The best approach depends on whether your height value is structured as a String (e.g., "5.5" where 5 = feet and 5 = inches) or a Numeric decimal value:

  1. If the value is a String ("5.5"): Use the Split Fields step.
    • Field to split: height
    • Delimiter: .
    • New fields: feet and inches
  2. If the value is Numeric : Use the Modified JavaScript Value step to split or convert the integer and fractional components mathematically
