I need to read text from image i.e. OCR. Please suggest if you have any plugin for the same?

You can use OCR: Tesseract plugin for the same.

Do we have to install and configure OCR software in order for the plugin to work?

You can use the OCR:Tesseract plugin in Process Studio and just follow the Prerequisites mentioned in the plugin help or plugin reference guide.
