Hello Aditya this side.

My doubt is regarding the Formula Plugin. I am in a confusion of how the Formula plugin syntax works in Process Studio. If anybody can explain me the syntax rules of Formula Plugin, I would be great.

1. Core Syntax Rules

  • Field Names: Wrap incoming field names in square brackets [ ] (e.g., [UnitPrice] * [Quantity]).
  • Parameter Separator: Use a semicolon ; (not a comma) to separate function arguments (e.g., IF([Amount] > 100 ; "High" ; "Low")).
  • Text Literals: Wrap hardcoded text in double quotes " (e.g., "Active").

2. Common Functions

  • Logical: IF(condition ; true_val ; false_val), ISBLANK([Field])
  • Text: TRIM([Field]), UPPER([Field]), or & operator for joining strings
  • Dates: DATEDIF([StartDate] ; [EndDate] ; "d"), TODAY()
  • Null Handling: NVL([Field] ; default_value)
