What are the accesses and settings needed to use web browsers, is it necessary to have selenium or the use of an extension to make this connection?

No settings required for web automation and we have plugins/steps for every action like click, scroll, write data, etc. so no need to use selenium code.
Just you need chrome/IE/Firefox installed on your machine.
