Why Isblank() is not work with excel input file which contain empty field . but it works with csv file .

Why ISBLANK() Behaves Differently

• CSV Input: Empty fields are often read as NULL, so ISBLANK() returns TRUE.
• Excel Input: Empty cells may be read as an empty string ("") or contain spaces, so ISBLANK() returns FALSE.

Recommended Solution

Use:

LEN(TRIM([Field])) = 0

This handles NULL, empty strings, and spaces.

Alternatively, use Null if… before the Formula step to convert empty strings to NULL.

In Microsoft Excel Input, set Trim Type = Both to remove leading/trailing spaces.
